In one of the craziest baseball games ever, the Melrose baseball team had a 3 run walk off home run to beat Minnewaska 14-13 in the second game of a double header. Minnewaska won the first game 5-4.
It was Melrose catcher Daniel Spanier that hit the game winning home run.
Melrose trailed 5-0 going into the bottom of the 6th. Melrose scored 7 times in the inning and led 7-5 and needed 3 outs for the win.
Minnewaska scored 8 runs in the top of the 7th to lead 13-7.
In the last at bat for Melrose, they scored 7 runs to win 14-13, capped off by Spanier's 3 run homer.
The Sauk Centre baseball team won 5-3 at Benson.
